Exercise: Subject predicative [ORG 3.6]
Some copular verbs can be followed by both adjective and noun complements. Rewrite the following, using an adjective in place of the noun complement. Make all other necessary changes.
Example: I felt a real idiot.
Answer: I felt really idiotic.
1 I felt a real fool.
2 It sounded an excellent idea.
3 But it hasn't proved a particular success.
4 She looked a sensible person.
5 She'll probably end up a rich woman.
6 He's become a thorough bore.
7 The whole thing seems utter madness to me.
9 They've remained friends.
10 It's turned out a nice day again.
